The Position:

As the Learning and Development Manager, you will manage and lead the organization’s learning and development programs while fostering engagement with associates and managers. You will be responsible for creating, implementing, organizing, and conducting classroom, virtual, and on-the-job and training for all associates.

  • Promote an environment of continual learning to support the growth of associates.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify and prioritize learning and training needs that align with the organizational goals.
  • Assess training and development needs through job analysis, career pathing, and consulting with associates and managers.
  • Design and implement learning and development programs and training materials for associates across the organization.
  • Develop and communicate training schedules and course availability to all pertinent team members.
  • Design, deliver, and conduct virtual, e-learning, in-person, and written trainings; ensure training content is engaging, interactive, and aligned with learning objectives.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and relevance of content; make recommendations for improvements based on manager and associate feedback.
  • Maintain up to date training library, manuals, reference guides, and other educational materials.
  • Manage the Learning Management System, including tracking compliance, scheduling training, reporting, analyzing data, etc.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, techniques, and best practices.
  • This position will be based in our Spokane, WA office; regular travel to properties across our portfolio is required.

What We Are Seeking:

A people-focused Learning and Development Manager who can engage and support a dynamic team while overseeing learning and development initiatives of the organization.

  • Must be a team player who takes a ‘we’ over ‘me’ approach to building and sustaining relationships with others.
  • Must be determined, ambitious, and self-motivated.
  • 2+ years of experience in Learning and Development or Training field.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office, Google-Suite, property management software (Yardi strongly preferred, and CRM solutions.
  • Experience working with a Learning Management System (Gracehill preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree required, emphasis in related field preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills; must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
  • Valid driver’s license and insured, operable vehicle.

  • Vision: minimal near vision.

Environmental and Safety Factors:

  • Weather: work is primarily indoors in a temperature-controlled office environment with occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including uneven and slippery surfaces.
  • Noise: frequent exposure to typical office environment noise levels including conversational voice levels; infrequent exposure to high-volume office equipment (e.g., shredder).
  • Pace of Work: great, multi-tasking/pressure paced environment.
