OBJECTIVE


To assist the Communications Director in the implementation of the marketing and communications plan for all campuses of Rolling Hills Community Church; including, but not limited to, all internal and external communications and marketing opportunities. In addition, carrying out this role as a member of the Rolling Hills staff by which one leads, nurtures, and serves the overall church body.

EXPECTATIONS


  • Live an exemplary life modeling the call, character, and competencies of a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • Be a servant leader to his or her staff and teams of volunteers, the families, and the overall church body.
  • Grow personally in his/her own leadership and competencies.
  • Be involved in the overall life of the church body by being a partner/member, actively participating in a community group, church-wide events, and functions.
  • Be an excited and contributing member of the RHCC staff team.


RESPONSIBILITIES


INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS

  • Help create awareness and momentum inside Rolling Hills Community Church.
  • Create (or work with outside designers), edit, and produce print collateral including worship guides, brochures, flyers, postcards, event promotions, mailings, and electronic signage communications.
  • Work with the Communications Director and Video Director to identify, capture, and communicate inspiring stories of life change within the church.


EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS


  • Create design materials to reach people who do not currently attend Rolling Hills.
  • Help in creating and executing a local marketing strategy to target unchurched people in the community, using the most applicable and effective mediums.

ONLINE AND SOCIAL NETWORKING
  • Produce content that inspires and informs.
  • Proactively create and maintain impactful digital communications strategies.
  • Effectively design deliverables that bring the website and social media channels together cohesively.


QUALITY ASSURANCE


  • Produce the highest quality output possible.
  • Assure excellence in all aspects of written and electronic communications through intentional, concise and careful writing, design, editing, proofreading, and production.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or a related field preferred. Minimum of three (3) years related experience.
  • The ideal candidate is a person passionate about the Christian faith, who actively seeks to grow in personal relationship with God, who is committed to the mission and vision of Rolling Hills and who serves out of a sense of call.
