    Position: Lead Teacher & Assistant Teacher - 2 positions at Waukazoo & Lakeshore Elementary
    Posting Dates: August 3, 2022 – Until Filled
    Reports To: YMCA
    Beginning: August 2022
    Hours: 27.5 hours per week
    6:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.
    3:15 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
    Qualifications:
    • Associate’s Degree or CDA credential from an accredited college preferred; three to six months childcare related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required.
    • Ability to interact with people of all ethnic backgrounds, ages, and lifestyles.
    Job Responsibilities:
    • Assists Site Coordinator/Supervisor in developing and leading daily lesson plans
    • Actively engages with children in the classroom
    • Assists with daily parent communication
    • Prepares materials for daily activity
    • Maintains records of attendance, arrival, and departure times
    • Maintains supervision of children
    • Assists Site Supervisor with parent-teacher conferences as needed
    • Efficiently communicates with classroom teaching team
    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
    • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
    • Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
    • Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling.
    • Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
    • Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work; those activities where detailed or import spoken instructions must be conveyed to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
    • Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound.
    • Repetitive motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is subject to environmental conditions.
    • The worker should provide consistent and reliable attendance.
