Shipyard Laborers will be on a dynamic team, supporting our C5ISR system installations. You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco team members to deliver high technology performed onboard U.S. Naval Ships and military installations.
In this role, you will:
- Performs general manual labor including loading, unloading, lifting and moving supplies and materials.
- Must perform duties as a fire watch and welder`s helper as well as install electric cable when needed.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.
To be successful in this role, you must have the following:
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance after hire.
- This position supports a U.S. Government Contract whose terms require Serco to staff it only with U.S. Citizens, be able to obtain gain access to shipyards (NAVSTA & DBIDS), undergo a background investigation and pass a drug screening.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Willing to work second shift and willing to work more than 40 hours work weeks.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
