Position Summary
The Laborer is responsible for ensuring that the proper sorting materials on the conveyor are being removed and placed in corresponding containers.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and sort materials according to size, type, and condition
- Wear required personal protective equipment at all times
- Keep work area and all surrounding areas clean
- Report all unsafe work conditions or equipment issues immediately to supervisor
- Attend and participate in safety meetings
Qualifications/Knowledge/Critical Skills
- Legally eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors
- Able and wiling to push and pull in excess of 50 pounds
- Must be able to frequently walk and stand up to 8 hours / day
- Must be physically able to enter/climb and leave truck cab frequently
- Must have the manual dexterity required to operate controls on truck
