Position Overview:
- Performs routine testing, quality control, calibration, maintenance, and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures.
- Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines.
- Responsible for providing day-to-day supervision of high complexity test performance.
- Must be onsite to provide direct supervision when high complexity testing is performed by any individuals.
- Responsible for monitoring test analyses and specimen examinations to ensure that acceptable levels of analytic performance are maintained.
- Assuring that all remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the established performance specifications.
- Ensuring that patient test results are not reported until all corrective actions have been taken and the tests properly functioning.
- Providing training to all testing personnel.
- Annually evaluating and documenting the performance of all testing personnel.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- B.S. in Biology, Clinical Lab Science, or related field.
- Qualify as testing personnel under CLIA guidelines and have at least 1 year of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing.
- MT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred.
- Experience with Sciex and 8050 Shimadzu preferred.
- Previous experience with toxicology sample prep.
- Day Shift: Monday-Friday 8AM-4:00PM
