Position Summary
Provide management-level support in the planning and execution of key nutrition-related initiatives, including the OptUP platform, creation of health and nutrition-related content, evidenced based research initiatives, nutrition project management, subject matter expert for nutrition related digital/technology development and payor opportunities. Responsible for communicating these programs to internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Essential Job Functions
- Create customized, holistic, quality nutrition interventions and programs focused on improving patient outcomes and population health
- Serve as a subject matter expert on existing and emerging medical nutrition therapy, guidelines for the nutrition treatment of chronic conditions, healthcare reform, and competitive activity in community, clinical, and retail dietetics
- Oversee and contribute to the development of nutrition-related content for Kroger initiatives like KrogerHealth.com, Wellness Your Way, and OptUPapp.com
- Manage the planning, development, and tracking of OptUP-related content across app and web, including blogs/articles, videos, push notifications, emails, and in-app messaging, including incorporating promotional data, and recipes
- Support the OptUP ecosystem by acting as nutrition subject matter expert, developing business requirements, driving the integration of OptUP into the core banner experience, and working with internal and external business partners
- Work with other Kroger Health teams to ensure cross-functionality of nutrition programs in support and alignment of developing programs
- Pilot and measure the effect of different nutrition interventions and programs through partnerships with universities, professional organizations, health coalitions, and other external partners
- Travel to conduct internal and public-facing presentations that showcase nutrition-related programs and initiatives on behalf of Kroger Health
- Precept and supervise dietetic interns as assigned
- Maintain dietitian license across multiple states as needed for role, to support Telenutrition as needed
- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in nutrition or dietetics
- Registered and Licensed Dietitian (RDN)
- 2+ years of dietitian experience in clinical and/or outpatient nutrition counseling setting
- Ability to foster collaborative working relationships
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to resolve conflicts
- Effectively able to prioritize and handle multiple projects and responsibilities
Desired Previous Experience/Education
- Master's Degree in nutrition or dietetics
- 2+ years of experience in retail grocery
- Any management or project management experience or prior experience with digital properties, technology development, work with product managers (apps, websites, digital products)
- Any experience in clinical research design and execution
- Background in healthcare, nutrition, or wellness
