SUMMARY
Keep assigned line running efficiently and effectively by ensuring yarn is properly threaded, inspecting socks, maintaining/cleaning machinery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inspect socks at each machine.
- Stop any machine found producing a defective sock.
- Flag machine found making a defect because of a mechanical problem.
- Keep yarns properly threaded in machines.
- Keep knitting machines operating efficiently.
- Keep lint blown off machines.
- Adhere to company policies, including attendance and punctuality
- Communicate with co-workers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner;
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions including but not limited to confidentiality requirements.
- Other duties assigned by management are a part of this job description.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent attention to detail, time management skills and meeting deadlines
- Ability to reflect positive attitude and disciplined work ethic
- Ability to work in a team or independently
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Basic education in reading, writing & mathematics.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
- Prior knitting experience or education on how to knit through a training program.
- Ability to use & understand the functions of the machine key pad.
- Ability to recognize defects.
- Experienced in creeling.
- Understand proper safety procedures & personal protective equipment needed for working around machines and using air hoses.

Consistent daily attendance required; occasional off-shift support and limited travel required.
