Kitchen Coordinator Role Summary:

The Kitchen Coordinator assists the Kitchen Director in providing oversight of all back-of-house operations. This role is primarily operational with approximately 90% of time spent helping lead shifts and performing back-of-house duties and 10% of time spent with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is reliable, committed to guest service and the guest experience, and is able to work independently while managing time properly.

Essential Functions:

Operational (90%)

• Performs back-of-house tasks as needed such as prepping food, cooking, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Engages in immediate problem resolution to correct critical issues.
• Maintains the highest quality standards for all menu items and ensures food preparation is properly executed according to the Chick-fil-A LEAN requirements.
• Ensures the automatic holding assistant system is followed by all kitchen staff.
• Assists with catering fulfillment.
• Participates in inventory counts.
• Holds team members accountable to all Chick-fil-A standards, policies and procedures.

Administrative (10%)

• Monitors food and labor costs and provides suggestions to Kitchen Director for optimizing financial performance.
• Analyzes guest feedback scores that pertain to food quality such as taste and temperature.
• Monitors back-of-house staff schedules.
• Works alongside Training Director to increase efficiency and performance for all Kitchen Team Members.
• Collaborates with leaders to accomplish shared organizational goals and initiatives and participates in bi-weekly leadership meetings.

Schedule:

• 
  Full-time (30-40 hours/week)
• Flexibility to work morning, mid-day, or evening shifts as needed and up to two Saturdays per month.

REQUIREMENTS

• 18 years of age upon hire date
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Able to lift 40 pounds
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
• Problem-solving skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
• Excellent customer service skills
• Fluent in Spanish (preferred)
• Leadership experience: 1-2 years (preferred)
• Education: Associates Degree or higher (preferred)
