Position Summary: The team is looking for a Junior Software Developer to join an existing team to deliver modern solutions based on business needs and market opportunities. With the guidance and coaching of the IT Director and Principal Engineer, the candidate will implement a flexible and reusable platform to build and enhance applications for the core business and the various customer groups. They will participate as a member of the development team in scrums, backlog refinement, and defining suggested new functionality.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of software development
• Familiarity with JavaScript and JavaScript frameworks
• Familiarity with Node JS and frameworks (Koa.js, Express)
• Familiarity with client technology stack including ReactJS, HTML5, CSS
• Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks
• Good understanding of CSS preprocessors (SASS)
• Understanding of API integrations, Single-Sign-on and token-based authentication (REST, JWT, OAuth)
• Understanding of data schemas (SQL, JSON)
• Knowledge of code versioning tools such as Git
• Familiarity with logistics management systems or web-based CRM systems a plus

Responsibilities:

• Integration of Express, ReactJS and NodeJS applications into other 3rd party APIs and systems
• Writing modular, reusable, testable and efficient code
• Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant web applications
• Integration of data storage solutions (SQL Server, Azure Blob Storage, NoSQL databases)
