Joseph Companies is seeking a full-time Junior Accountant to work at our Rochester, MN corporate office. Hours are 8:00am-5:00pm Mon-Fri with a daily 1-hour lunch break.
The Junior Accountant position requires an Associates degree in Accounting + a minimum of 1 year of experience in areas of Accounting and/or Financials. Proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Excel/Access and Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) is preferred.
The position requires a clear knowledge and understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) as well as the applicable state & federal financial laws. The Junior Accountant should be a self-started who can work with minimal supervision, have a high level of integrity, and must be able to work as part of a dynamic team. The Junior Accountant’s primary role is the processing of company payroll and applicable payroll reports. The Junior Accountant completes other Accounting & Financial duties and responsibilities as directed by the Accounts Manager.
