SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
The Journeyman Electrician provides support to the Maintenance and Production departments through electrical/technical support/repair of plant systems, production equipment and tooling. This individual is responsible for supporting the activities of the manufacturing operation and the continuous improvement efforts within the maintenance and manufacturing areas. This person will be involved in electrical project work as well as assist in troubleshooting plant equipment

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides technical and Electrical support to the Maintenance group and assists the department in operating safely and efficiently.

• Demonstrate ability in Troubleshooting/Repair of electrical equipment.

• Assists in running conduit, pulling wires, connecting wires and control devices.

• Performs preventive maintenance activities as assigned by supervisor.

• Demonstrated ability to read and follow blueprints

• Knowledgeable in NEC for industrial wiring.

• Available for off shift and Saturday work when required.

• Knowledge and demonstrated ability of basic electrical formulas applicable to the job.

• Candidates must have a working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, a good work and attendance history, a safety-first attitude, good communication skills, and the flexibility to work overtime, including weekends.

• Candidates must be able to read work instructions and other work documents provided in English; must be able to write production and quality information in English; must understand verbal instructions provided in English; and must speak basic English.

EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma
Preferred: Degree/Certificate in a Technical discipline field.

EXPERIENCE:
Required: Minimum of 8 years experience in a medium to large manufacturing facility.
Preferred: Union Journeyman’s Electrical card.

SKILLS:
Required: Strong technical background with emphasis on electrical/electronic expertise; strong writing and computer skills. Good communication skills. Strong commitment to safety.
Preferred: Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting; Robotic integration and programming:
Hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical troubleshooting skills. Processing background in a blow molding facility.
