Position Title: Director of Youth and Family Ministry
Supervisor: Senior Pastor
Status: Part-time (15-20 hours per week)

Summary:
The Director of Youth and Family Ministry for Calvary Lutheran Church will focus on faith formation in the youth from 7th through 12th grade. The goal of this ministry is to deepen the faith of youth, ignite a life-long passion for service and deepen their relationship with Christ. The Director of Youth and Family Ministry will achieve this by engaging youth, their families and the Calvary volunteer community, leading activities that foster faith including confirmation programming, youth retreats and mission trips and local service opportunities.
Education, Experience, Skills and Qualities:
Applicants should have or be working towards a bachelor’s degree, have a strong connection to youth, be well organized and have strong communication skills. Experience leading teams of youth, engaging youth in faith development and engaging cross-generational volunteers would be highly valued. A talent for engaging youth through music would be seriously considered but not required. A full list of job responsibilities is available on request.
Physical and Environmental Conditions:
This position does require demands for physical effort and will require physical effort to lift and transport boxes, furniture, equipment and other items weighing greater than 50 pounds.
