Inventory Control Specialist
MISSION
Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value. Analyzes, investigates, and reconciles inventories of material, merchandise or supplies stocked in establishment.
KEY OUTCOMES (KPI’S) OUTCOMES
- OUTCOME: Ensure accuracy of product on a daily basis
- Count or estimate quantities of materials, parts, or products received or shipped
- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
- Reviews and audits to reports of inventory variances as assigned.
- Compare product labels, tags, or tickets, shipping manifests, purchase orders, and bill of lading to verify accuracy of shipment contents, quality specifications, or/or weights.
- OUTCOME: Ensure record of product is updated to the best of your knowledge at all times.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
- Prepares list of potentially defective or unusable items
- Document quantity, type, weight, test result data, and value of materials or products, in order to maintain shipping, receiving, and production records and files.
- Weight or measure materials, equipment, or products to maintain relevant records, using volume meters, scales, rulers, and/or calipers.
- OUTCOME: Use industrial equipment and physical ability to perform tasks in warehouse and production environment
- Lift, carry, or move product by hand.
- Stocks and issues materials or merchandise.
- Rotate inventory as needed.
- May operate powered industrial truck equipment such as fork truck, cherry picker, scissors lift.

- 1 year certificate from college or technical school
- 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Industrial truck experience
- Ability to operate RF scan gun, Inventory Control software, and Microsoft Word and Excel
