Position description summary

The Customer Service position / Office work is a career path position in our full-service insurance & financial business. The right candidate will provide administrative assistance with support to our sales team in regards to office activities and sales objectives. Position requires individual to be passionate about what they are doing and highly motivated, organized, and be a self-starter. The individual must have a professional appearance along with excellent communications skills to interact with clients over the phone and in person. Out bound calling is required to schedule appointments with potential/current clients. The ability to be a team player is highly valued at our office. The individual must maintain sound judgment and initiative for working within office guidelines.
After obtaining (not required to start) the appropriate state insurance license and being properly trained, the individual will provide customers with current policy information. Increased responsibilities will be added as the individual’s experience and knowledge base grows. This is a position that you will grow into over time as you are learning new systems. The ideal candidate will be customer-focused; possess strong ethical values; have an interest in the service of insurance/financial products and be self-motivated to succeed.

Position requirements

  • High school education (or equivalent)
  • 1-3 years related administrative support work experience is required
  • Must have solid computer skills (Word, Excel, e-Mail, etc)
  • Must have excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Sound analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Dependable and self-motivated to succeed
  • State insurance licensing when ready
  • Professional business image and dress
  • Proficiency with numbers and typing skills (45 – 50 w.p.m.)
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with internal/external contacts and customers
  • Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
