Injection Mold Operator Job at Detroit Thermal Systems, LLC
Area: Injection Mold
Mold changes - Removal of previous and installation of next tool in the injection molding machine. Along with any associated hookups of water, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic to the mold.
· Complete overhead crane and LOTO training.
· Changing of the EOAT and any needed hook-ups, after mold changes along with the robot programs. Along with any EOAT adjustments and robot programming, required to pull the molded parts and place them on the conveyor.
· Process changes needed to obtain quality parts.
· Material changes, as needed, to support production requirements.
· Run new model molds.
· Run material trials.
· Cleaning in, on, and around the injection molding machines.
· Work with Maintenance and/or Engineering during the troubleshooting of the molding machines, robots, EOAT, conveyors and material handling equipment.
· Basic cleaning of the molds, such as the vents, parting lines, cavity, and core.
· Knowledgeable with basic hand and air tools.
· Complete any associated documentation that pertains to the job such as mold change schedule and press parameter sheets.
· Start up and shut down of the mold machines, tools and any secondary equipment associated with the molding process either for short- or long-term time spans.
· Other duties as assigned by management in accordance with CBA Article 7 Management’s Rights (sections 1 and 2).
May be assigned different duties depending on plant needs. The Company reserves theright to modify as necessary.
