Our organization is looking for a thoughtful, reliable and compassionate Staff Coordinator. The successful candidate should have good communication skills, be able to express empathy with residents and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. We're searching for an individual that is comfortable working in a hierarchical environment and has excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities:

The Infection Preventionist (or designee) shall coordinate the development and monitoring of our facility’s established infection prevention and control policies and practices. 2. The Infection Preventionist shall report information related to compliance with our facility’s established infection prevention and control policies and practices to the Administrator and Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Committee. 3. The Infection Preventionist shall keep abreast of changes in infection prevention and control guidelines and regulations to ensure our facility’s protocols remain current and aid in preventing and controlling the spread of infections. 4. Upon approval from the Administrator, the Infection Preventionist may designate other employees to assist him/her in the performance of these duties. 5. The Infection Preventionist will collect, analyze and provide infection and antibiotic usage data and trends to nursing staff and health care practitioners; consult on infection risk assessment and prevention control strategies; provide education and training; and implement evidenced-based infection prevention and control practices.

• Perform basic office functions.
• Organize, plan and implement site activities with the goal of improving quality of resident care and life.
• Facilitate communication between nursing staff and residents/families.
• Conduct research to identify and resolve problems and/or improve practices.
• Create and update confidential reports based on resident assessments.
• Communicate with other departments (Social Work, Physical Therapy, etc.) to facilitate enhancement of resident care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $39.84 per hour
