Position: Industrial Powder Coat Painter- 2nd Shift (12 pm - 10:30 pm M-TH)

Outline of the role
The primary function of a painter is to prepare metal for painting and apply power coat paint to completed steel parts.

Key tasks and responsibilities
- Use correct paint equipment settings and adjustments
- Perform daily maintenance routines on paint equipment
- Identify and mask areas that are not to be painted
- Use proper paint application procedures
- Inspect paint job in progress for quality problems, such as runs and missed areas
- Clean paint booth and lights and change filters
- Perform quality checks including visual and electronic mill testing
- Assist in keeping all paint areas clean and organize
- All other duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. Environment is not fully climate controlled.
