WebstaurantStore, the world’s largest online restaurant supply company, is looking for a full time Import Logistics Specialist to join the Inbound Transportation Team.

This team is responsible for domestic and international transportation into our expansive network of warehouses and distribution centers throughout the USA. This team serves as a critical link between procurement and warehouse operations.

We are looking for a personable and insightful individual who can keep up with the day-to-day challenges of the ocean freight industry and import supply chain.

As an Import Logistics Specialist you will:

• Build relationships with our ocean transportation providers, origin management, and partner carriers
• Work in tandem with Clark Purchasing and Associates Warehouse Operations to ensure a smooth import process
• Provide timely updates on the state of the supply chain
• Run reports to assess the performance of our providers and the overall transportation network and suggest and execute on improvements
• Be a rapid responder and solution finder for internal and external stakeholders

We are looking for a driven, motivated candidate who:

• Is a strong communicator, capable of conveying supply chain ideas to other departments
• Is proficient at aggregating, cleaning, and analyzing data
• Is curious about how processes work and can ask the right questions
• Is comfortable with change and is willing to keep up to date with the trends and issues of supply chain management
• Has experience with ocean transportation and Steamship Line operations
• Is humble, hungry, and smart
• Has integrity and will represent Clark Associates well with external providers
