I.T. Network/Tech Services Manager Job at Millcreek Community Hospital
Millcreek Community Hospital an Equal Opportunity Employer is looking for an I.T. Network/Tech Services Manager to join our team Full Time.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Plans, installs and maintains all aspects of computer network/hardware while ensuring software compatibility with the HIS and viability (includes power, servers, software, communication lines, switches, desktop PCs & printers).
2. Tests, evaluates and researches computer technology and software for performance, reliability and compatibility with current technology and future needs.
3. Assists the Director of I.T. in the selection of new technology, acquisitions and implementation planning.
4. Assists the Director of I.T. with budgetary planning as it relates to hardware and implementation, aid in making implementation decisions by creating analysis for cost-benefit and return on investment.
5. Maintains strict network & data security working with the Director of I.T., and in accordance with I.T. policies and procedures.
6. Maintains systems documentation including current network schemes and any documentation required by regulatory standards.
7. Maintains procedures for backup and recovery of critical network/hardware activities and tests these procedures routinely to ensure the backups function as intended.
8. Coordinates preventative maintenance on computer equipment and maintains records of failures and corrective actions by internal and vendor personnel.
9. Maintains accurate records of equipment inventories.
10. Facilitates the repair of Servers, PCs, printers, switches, and other related equipment.
11. Provides technical recommendations and direction in the use and deployment of new technologies.
12. Establishes standards and monitors all systems and performance monitoring utilities and works closely with I.T. staff to achieve efficient utilization of computing resources.
13. Maintains data and network services and provides alternative operations in the event of catastrophic disruption of services.
14. Manages network performance and provides specialized expertise in local and wide-area networks.
15. Leads, manages, and evaluates the work of I.T. staff members in their areas of responsibility.
16. Identifies key support metrics and regularly reviews data with team and Director of I.T. to determine process updates and improvements. Identifies internal and external support trends and takes steps to proactively prevent and/or solve problems
17. Ensures all state and federal regulatory system updates are installed and tested prior to the regulatory effective date.
18. Ensures effective training and continuing education programs for I.T. staff and systems users are incorporated into the I.T. service offerings for all technologies under his or her area of responsibility.
19. Plans and implements security measures to safeguard the information in computer files against disclosure, accidental or unauthorized modification or destruction, determining cause of corrupted data files and corrects data integrity if hardware caused.
20. Provides emergency or backup on-call assistance in the event of systems failure or scheduled maintenance. Assists on-call staff with resolution of operational issues under his or her area of responsibility.
21. Performs other related duties as assigned by authorized personnel or as may be required to meet emergency situations.
