Hybrid Process Engineer Job at Acara Solutions
Acara solutions is looking for a Hybrid Process Engineer for our client located in Issaquah, WA
This position is working onsite 50%. Candidates must be local to the site.
- The successful candidate will work in a dynamic environment as part of an R&D team developing ultrasound Catheter products and advanced technologies.
- Development of processes and assembly methods working for fabrication of state-of-the-art ultra-sound catheters.
- Emphasis on particular processes such as lamination, transducer array fabrication, piezoelectric material processing, advanced packaging, miniaturized electrical interconnects, plastic welding (tip fusion), adhesive processes, and catheter body design.
- Interface with manufacturing to support DFX initiatives
- Optimize and document processes for manufacturing, transfer designs and processes to manufacturing personnel.
- Understand, set-up, use and interpret design of experiments (DOE) and statistical process control (SPC).
- Interface very closely with acoustic design engineers, ME engineers and electrical design engineers to maximize performance by creating new components/processes/assembly sequences that solve the design challenges
- Technical responsibility for planning, organizing, and conducting technical projects within the design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of catheter components and assembly processes.
- Prepare design and process specifications, analyses and recommendations for approval.
- Provide technical guidance to engineers and engineering technicians.
- Prepare material for ECO release.
Pay and Benefits:
- The Salary for this position $50.00 per hour (Max Pay rate).
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
- BS/MS/PhD degree in materials, chemical, packaging engineering, electrical engineering, or a related science
- 3+ years of clean room advanced packaging, and clean room assembled precision electromechanical device experience.
- Experience Automation experience preferred
- Experience in process design for complex medical device preferred
- Experience in designing medical equipment preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a rapidly-changing environment
