Human Resources Support Manager (Hybrid) Job at Purdy Group
The HR Support Manager performs various administrative and support functions to ensure employee well-being and compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations. This individual partners with employees and business leaders to accomplish these goals.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees Employee Relations matters including performing investigations, recommending solutions, and writing reports.
- Manages employee leave requests and ensures compliance with all associated requirements.
- Responsible for organizational Risk Management program, which includes securing vendor(s) for Safety Training and Audits, managing the Worker’s Compensation program, and maintaining the OSHA 300 log.
- Maintains HRIS and enters in any changes to employee pay and status while performing document management/record-keeping duties.
- Manages the Unemployment Insurance program and serves as the employer representative where necessary.
- Maintains relationship with benefits and 401k providers to ensure overall program effectiveness.
- Fulfills routine employee requests via company ticket system.
- May assist Payroll department for routine inquiries/troubleshooting, escalating high priority items to Payroll Specialist or Manager.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of Employment Law and its application.
- At least four years’ experience in a human resources role required, may substitute two years of experience with bachelor’s degree in a relevant course of study.
- Current HR credential (SHRM/HRCI) or ability to obtain certification within on year of employment.
