HR Generalist
Position Summary: The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day HR administrative responsibilities, which includes management of personnel records, new hire paperwork, benefits, employee termination and unemployment. In addition, process and manage the Human Resources and Payroll department's mail.
Responsibilities:
· Process background and reference checks
· Assist with payroll and benefits administration
· Process E-Verify for all new employees
· E-Verify and I-9 management
· Coordinate and track leave of absences
· Process and respond to Unemployment claims and request timely
· Check and Audit insurance bills
· Assist with open enrollment
· Purge papers and files according to the document retention plan.
· Keep the file room organized
· Manage workers compensation claims
· Manage wellness participant list
· Other general office duties as assigned
Qualifications
· Associate degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area
· 3+ years of experience working in Human Resources
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills
· Proficient in all Microsoft Products, Word, excel. Power Point and Outlook
· Must be able to prioritize and complete task accurate and timely
Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time; bend, stoop, kneel, reach or grasp and be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
