Human Resource Manager Job at PRESTIGE HEALTHCARE RESOURCES INC
SUMMARY
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Operations this position provides leadership and guidance in the strategic planning, acquisition, development and management of the organizations’ talent pool. The HR Manager is a key member of the leadership team and responsible for leading high-impact, people-focused strategic initiatives that not only fuel company culture, but also drive alignment with the overall company values and vision. Also, answers non-routine correspondence and assembles highly confidential and sensitive information. Deals with a diverse group of important external callers and visitors as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload, recommends changes in office practices or procedures.

- Serve as a strategic business partner, influencer, and change agent responsible for implementing people initiatives and cultural change across the company.
- Build trust and credibility with senior leaders that leads to improved organizational effectiveness by developing deep knowledge of the business model and the industry.
- Develops and lead the HR department constantly striving to achieve outstanding customer service, continual improvement, and operational effectiveness of the organization.
- Provide continuous improvement to the value the organization delivers to its customers by proactively addresses future needs and influencing customer behavior with market-focused expertise and industry understanding.
- Oversee management and budget of the annual performance management process, change management, engagement survey and action plan, anti-harassment training and initiatives, our L&D program, onboarding of new hires, all employee relations investigations and situations, and a host of other tools and HR initiatives.
- Coaches managers on interpretation and application of relevant HR law, policies, procedures and programs; stays abreast of ongoing changes
- Oversees, enhance, and launch comprehensive recruiting and retention plans to meet the talent needs of the organization. Develop comprehensive compensation and benefits programs that motivate, empower and incentivize optimal performance from the team.
- Reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters.
- Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including high-level staff such as CEOs, presidents, senior vice presidents and chiefs. Handles confidential and non-routine information and explains policies when necessary.
- Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects. Acts as project manager for special projects, at the request of the vice president, which may include: planning and coordinating multiple presentations, disseminating information, coordinating direct mailings, creating brochures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has supervisory responsibilities of one to four positions.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
POSITION TYPEAND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
TRAVEL
Occasional travel to the Largo, MD Office and within the Washington, DC Metro Area
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Three years of related experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Masters’ Degree.
- Seven years of related experience.
