Weyerhaeuser is looking for an experienced, energetic and thoughtful HR Business Partner (HRBP) to support our unionized Engineered Wood Products manufacturing facility in Emerson, AR. This facility is located 90 minutes north of Shreveport, LA and in the shadow of Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, AR.

The successful candidate will be an active and engaged member of the Emerson Lead Team as well as the Engineered Wood Products HR Team. As a strategic business partner, the HRBP is responsible for the overall leadership and management of all human resources systems at the Emerson mill including (but not limited to) the core HR processes of labor relations, compensation management, recruiting, performance management, succession planning, community engagement and training. This highly motivated individual will advise leaders on moderately complex operational and business decisions and be skilled at incorporating relevant tools to facilitate solutions. This position will report to the HR Director - Engineered Wood Products, with a strong dotted line to the Mill Manager.

Key Functions:

• Serve as a member of the site lead team promoting the safety and well-being of all associates.
• Lead and manage relationship with local union leadership
• Provide CBA adherence guidance to site leaders and manage site grievance process
• Strategic business partner to the Emerson leadership team as well as the broader Product Line HR team
• Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and improve retention.
• Partner with local community high schools, colleges, and universities to create pipelines of future talent.
• Analyze trends and metrics to develop solutions and programs.
• Ensure site compliance with state and federal laws.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related fields is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of previous HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and credibly.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in HR systems.
• Self-starting individual who possesses resiliency and adaptability to solve problems.
• Ability to discern priorities and remain organized as business needs evolve.
• Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and possess the courage to intervene.
• Ability to travel 10% of the time to other locations, including some overnight travel and flow to work as needed.
