HOUSE MANAGER (Group Home) Job at Pulaski County Group Home
House Manager
· Provide oversight of all household activities & staff duties.
· Report maintenance issues to the appropriate entity and follow up on the repairs as needed.
· Create menus and grocery lists and do the shopping within budget limits.
· Be the first point of contact when residents need to talk or when staff has a scheduling issue.
· Take residents to all medical appointments or designate staff when that is not possible. HM should manage at least 80% of all appointments.
· Order and pick up all medications.
· Create duty list for each different shift and provide staff counseling when tasks are not completed. If the staff is not responsive to correction, the issue can be referred to the next level.
· Maintain a calendar in the home so that all residents and staff in the home know when to expect outings, visits from the Support Coordinator, opportunities to attend things like People First meetings etc.
· Read progress notes and have staff make any corrections as needed.
· Audit consumer personal spend ledgers and MARs weekly. Report the results of the audit to the Program Manager.
· Notify PM or Executive Director when more supplies etc. are needed.
· Inform PM of incidents and medication errors immediately.
· Change the filter on the furnace monthly.
· Change the batteries in the smoke detectors every spring and fall (daylight savings time).
· Maintain various temperature books logs (water, freezer, refrigerator). Turn these into Assistant Director at the end of each month.
· If a company van is in use, schedule oil changes and other maintenance as required.
· Maintain vehicle books, including updating proof of insurance & alerting ED when registration is due.
· Audit vehicle milage logs weekly for completion & turn them in to Assistant Director at the end of each month.
· Be in charge of setting the dates for decorating the home for holidays and helping the residents do it themselves.
· Create the schedule for staff and notify all of any changes required.
· Find coverage or cover direct care shifts when needed.
