Job Description
Renco Machine Company is a family-owned job shop located in Green Bay and has been dedicated to the precision machining of custom components since its inception in 1963.
We are searching for 1st Shift (Monday - Thursday, Friday optional) and 2nd Shift (Monday - Thursday; +$4/hr shift premium) Machinists to operate a HMC and perform machining functions from complex blueprints using creativity and experience with setups.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate advanced ability to set up, program and operate a Horizontal Machining Center.
- Includes fixture placement and alignment, loading programs, tool setting, making needed adjustments to programs and offsets to ensure finished parts meet specifications.
- Perform in process checks to make certain that the parts run efficiently and accurately to assure quality before approving production.
- Studies blueprints and manufacturing orders and organizes materials and tools for next run during automatic controlled cycles to shorten changeover time.
- Works with supervisors, inspection and other employees to resolve job related problems such as tooling, fixtures, programs and blueprint specifications.
- Removes burrs, sharp edges and clean parts.
- Study programs, blueprints, manufacturing drawings, tool sheets and manufacturing orders to verify they are correct and fill out proper paper work when changes are necessary.
Education and/or Experience:
- Experience operating a HMC and a technical degree is strongly preferred. A high school degree or equivalency is required.
- Machinists must have the ability to set up and operate CNC Machining equipment.
- Must possess solid blueprint reading skills, strong math skills, and in-process inspection skills and understand both metric and English measurements.
- Must be proficient at using micrometers, dial calipers, height gauge, shop gauges, depth gauges and dial indicators to indicate parts and verify dimensions of a work piece.
- Understand tooling and offsets.
- Read and interpret basic G-code programs. Must be able to edit programs and offsets, as well as work and problem solve independently using precision gages.
- Must be able to maintain tolerance and finishes to engineering and manufacturing specifications.
- While hoists are provided to assist with lifting, you must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour
