Job Summary

The Customer Service/Clinical Orders Specialist is responsible for managing clinical orders. The individual will use software and reports to make sure that the Primary Care Physician will sign Plan of Cares; (485), orders and clinical updates. The job is 90 percent calling PCP offices and being on hold for some time. Sometime it will require going to physician offices.

Job Responsibilities

  • Obtaining all orders before end of the episode.
  • Making phone calls to primary care offices and documenting on daily log.
  • Sending faxes to MD offices including Face-to-Face Encounter Forms and outstanding physician orders daily.
  • Sending emails to mobile physicians.
  • Going to clinics or primary care physician offices to obtain order signature as needed.
  • Develop relationship with clinics and identify 1 resource person to assist with getting orders from office.
  • Be part of process improvement activities.
  • Verify PCP information prior to Plan of Care being generated.
  • Courteous and respectful to PCP and other people.
  • Return all messages and phone calls before end of shift daily.
  • Develop schedules for physicians clinic office visits.
  • Follow up with patients on their PCP appointments/remind day before/call clinic day after.
  • Meeting deadlines for assignments delegated during weekly meetings and ongoing.
  • Coordinating Mobile Physician assignments for patients without Primary Care Physicians (PCP).
  • Ongoing daily collaboration with intake on PCP.
  • Participate in weekly orders meeting.
  • Perform Orders Audit prior to Worldview send out.
  • Learn and follow orders flowchart.
  • Understand and operate under Medicare guidelines in regards to Physician Orders and Face-to-Face Encounter documentation.

Qualifications

  • Prefer Home Healthcare experience
  • 3-5 years of Phone Customer Service experience
  • Knowledge of Agency policies and procedures.
  • Ability to deal effectively with high levels of stress.
  • High School Education.
  • Must have great communication skills: Excellent writing skills; Be heard clearly on the phone.
  • Great customer service skills.
  • Patience on phone.
  • Time management skills.
  • Call Center, phone sales or collections experience very helpful

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
