Hiring Diesel Shop Manager & Lead Mechanic:
Job description:
- Currently looking for an experienced Diesel Shop Manager and Lead Mechanic.
- In this role the successful candidate will manage our diesel shop facility in all capacities; perform tractor trailer repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards; run diagnostics on trucks; hire, train, manage and mentor other mechanics.
Responsibilities:
- Managing and mentoring all shop employees, including mechanics, safety technicians and wash crew.
- Coordinating all service and repairs with office staff and drivers.
- Performing diagnostics and repairs on diesel equipment.
- Working with outside vendors to service and repair equipment as needed.
- Driving and moving trucks and trailers.
- Ordering and managing parts, tools and supplies.
- Compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures, including DOT Safety Regulations.
- Perform administrative duties as needed, including receiving and entering repairs on computer daily.
- Provide clean, safe working conditions of the facility and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years shop management experience.
- 5+ years of fleet maintenance experience.
- Must possess own tools & toolbox.
- High professional behavior and work ethic in all aspects of management and performance.
- Excellent reading and writing skills.
- Class A CDL.
- Cummins experience required.

- Salary: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year.
