Health & Wellness Director - Pasadena Highlands Job at WellQuest Living, LLC
The primary job function of the Health & Wellness Director is for the overall implementation, delivery and coordination of resident care services at the community. Supervise medical technicians and care staff, ensure that we are providing the best quality of care to our senior residents, adhering to all company and regulatory standards.
The Health & Wellness Director will perform assessments of potential residents to determine their levels of care and continually assess our existing residents to make sure their needs are being met, implement and maintain an accurate wellness record for each resident, supervise the storage, distribution, and administering of and discontinuation of residents medications, serve as the liaison between residents and their families, administration and staff as well as with the resident's physician, pharmacist and medical personnel. Schedule and staff your department, while playing a key role on the management team of a successful Assisted Living Community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage assisted living and memory care programs to company standards, policies, and procedures
- Supervise Caregivers and Med Technicians including hiring, training, mentoring and scheduling
- Develop monthly schedules keeping overtime to a minimum
- Foster a positive and productive work environment for all
- Ensure communication with resident family members and appropriate collaborators (doctors, home health, physical therapy, etc)
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in geriatrics
- Minimum 2 years of management experience, training and mentoring staff
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
- Love working with seniors above all
PREFERENCES:
- LVN/LPN current and active
- RCFE CA certification current
- 3+ years experience in activities with older adults including dementia related programs
