What is the Role?

You'll be the Head of Finance at Solid.

Raghav Lal, President at Solid. Raghav was Chief Credit Officer at AMEX and GM of Small Business at VISA.

Top 10 responsibilities & accountabilities:

• Own all aspects of Solid cost center budgeting and accounting – working collaboratively with the leadership team.

• Manage Solid AR & AP functions.

• Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual financial plans, actuals and variance analysis.

• Build and maintain Solid revenue forecasts working closely with the Solid sales team.

• Provide expertise on pricing Solid revenue contracts with clients including key drivers of revenue share e.g., IRF and APYs while competitively pricing product features e.g., Money movement form factors like ACH, Wires etc.

• Manage all Solid vendor pricing negotiations and associated cost management.

• Build and manage Solid revenue and cost pro-formas working closely with Sales and Client partner teams.

• Provide margin expertise to continually drive Solid sales efforts towards higher margin prospects.

• Represent Solid in current and future investor interactions regarding sources & usage of funds.

• Monitor monthly actuals on revenue and burn rate to ensure – no surprises to committed forecasts.

What do I need to excel in this role?

• 3-5 years experience in finance for an early-stage company, as well as experience at an enterprise B2B or fintech or financial services company.

• Demonstrated success at a startup or high-growth environment.

• High ownership and drive. You own your outcomes, are highly self-motivated, with an entrepreneurial mindset, and are driven to improve.

• Execution in ambiguity. You’re comfortable and thrive in fast-changing environments.

• Low-ego, high self-awareness. You know your strengths and weaknesses and are hungry for feedback to grow.

• Independent problem-solving. You have a pragmatic mindset with the ability to make decisions with imperfect information.

• Nice to have: detailed understanding of the fintech ecosystem and platform business model.

• Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment with team members distributed across the globe.

• Time Zone: PST (preferred), MST, and CST.
