JOB SUMMARY:
Performs daily and long term maintenance and care of buildings and grounds.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Prior training or willingness to take appropriate training
- Need to be able to lift 50 pounds
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish the major duties listed below
- Positive public relations skills
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate and care for a variety of equipment including vacuum cleaners, buffers, shampooers, floor scrubbers, ladders, etc.
Sweep, vacuum, mop, strip, and buff floors.
Dust, wash, wax, and polish furniture and woodwork. Clean blackboards and chalk trays.
Wash inside and outside windows, blinds, walls, and doors.
Empty and clean inside and outside waste receptacles.
Clean restrooms, drinking fountains, and all plumbing fixtures.
Load and unload furniture, materials, supplies, etc.
Set up meeting rooms.
Remove snow from walkways as required.
Perform general maintenance work on buildings and grounds.
Report potential safety and health problems to the supervisor.
Complete records and reports as required.
Open and secure buildings as required.
Work with students, parents, staff, and others in a positive, encouraging manner.
Know and follow district policy and chain of command.
Act ethically and confidential in all aspects of employment.
Perform such school-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Pay: $12.41 - $13.80 per hour
