Full-Time Doorman (2nd shift)

Central City Management is seeking professional, personable, and reliable individual to join our team as a Full-Time Doorman (2nd shift from 5:30pm-2am).

Ideal candidates for this position will be able to answer phones and intercom, handle packages, and deliveries while greeting current residents and guests. Providing excellent customer service to current and prospective residents is essential. To be successful in this position, you must be personable and enjoy helping others.

Our Doorman must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, have outstanding customer service skills, be able to monitor and operate our security control systems, deliver packages to residents, help keep the hallways and lobby clean and tidy by vacuuming, cleaning and restocking washroom, moving trash dumpster from the basement to the 1st floor the night before garbage pick-up days, accurately maintain daily logs, records and forms, and perform other duties as assigned by your Supervisor and Management team. Below are the Doorman job responsibilities and duties, that may include, but are not limited to:

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty
  • Identify all residents and/or visitors upon arrival
  • Ensure visitors and vendors are properly signed in prior to accessing the building
  • Vacuuming the hallways of all floors throughout the week
  • Keep the Lobby and Hallways clean & tidy (including wiping down windows, cleaning & restocking restroom, vacuuming, etc.)
  • Delivering packages to resident units
  • Moving the trash dumpster from the basement of the building to the 1st floor; the nights before trash pick-up days (3 nights a week)
  • Exchanging trash cans below the trash chutes
  • Monitor security cameras that are within the building
  • Respond to incidents including property emergencies
  • Conduct general patrols of the entire property during various hours, if required, including numerous flights of stairs and frequent patrols of the exterior in any weather conditions
  • Ability to walk/stand/sit for extended periods of time
  • Clearly and accurately record data such as property damage, unusual occurrences/instances, and any malfunctions of equipment to the building
  • Maintain clear, accurate logs pertaining to people or property including packages
  • Keep Management informed of all situations and incidents that occur at the building
  • Perform any and all other duties, as assigned by Supervisor and/or Management team

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have the ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Bi-lingual considered a plus.
  • Physical Demands required of this position by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job include, but are not inclusive of, are: the ability to stand for extended periods of time; be able to lift, push, and/or pull at least 50lbs; be able to accommodate foot patrols on the interior and exterior of the building; be able to perform assigned duties regardless of weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • 1+ year of Customer Service, preferred
  • Previous Residential Doorman experience, preferred
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be Reliable and demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality
  • Must have a valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
  • Must be willing to work weekends on an alternating basis!

This is a full-time position working from 5:30pm – 2am Monday-Friday, with alternating weekends. This position will receive a competitive salary along with a full benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, 401(k) and generous paid time off.
