Full Charge Bookkeeper Job at Ballast Point Capital
POSITION SUMMARY:
Established family office looking to hire a full-time bookkeeper. Must have QuickBooks experience. Responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing activity, collections, payroll, and account reconciliations for multiple bank accounts and multiple businesses.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Perform day-to-day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data.
· Monthly bank account reconciliation for multiple accounts.
· Processing payroll for all companies.
· Apply payments to A/R invoices and remotely deposit checks into appropriate accounts.
· Monitor all aged AR and work with cross-function teams to resolve any issues.
· Prepare, monitor, and send invoices to tenants.
· Verify discrepancies and resolve client billing issues.
· Facilitate prompt payment of invoices by sending bill reminders.
· Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries.
· Pay vendors by preparing and processing from A/P report, verifying federal id numbers; and preparing checks; resolving purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
· Post information to accounting systems and property management software regarding various property acquisitions and sales.
· Conduct weekly available cash on bank report or whenever requested.
· Process Sales Tax Payments online for commercial rents and restaurant services. Pay local, state, and federal taxes according to the deadlines.
· Verify proper general ledger classification for expense reports.
· Import restaurant data into QuickBooks from POS software.
· Use property management software for various bookkeeping functions.
· Maintain an organized and up-to-date accounting file system and chart of accounts.
· Other duties as assigned.
