The Chemical Sales Specialist reports to the Director of Chemicals, and is located in Tampa, FL.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Chemical Specialist is responsible for achieving maximum sales profitability, growth, and account preparation within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the Company's chemical products and/or related services resulting from field activity.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
- Proficient computer skills including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- 2+ years Food Service or restaurant equipment experience preferred
- Warewashing and/or foodservice sanitation chemical sales experience preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate new leads and referrals resulting from field activity
- Present and sell Company's chemical products and services to current and potential clients
- Assist Route and Contract sales teams to help them grow chemical sales and dish machine rentals
- Prepare action plan for growing chemical sales with both existing customers and prospects
- Identify sales prospects and follow-up on prospects and assigned contracts
- Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales quotes
- Develop and grow product knowledge
- Establish and grow new client relationships
- Set goals for expanding customer base and increasing market share
- Identify and resolve client concerns and issues
- Conduct site surveys for dish machine installs
- Prepare reports on sales performance and pipeline management
- Coordinate with Director of Chemical Sales to accomplish mutually set goals
- Participate in marketing events such as trade shows, customer conferences, etc.
- Assist customers with product use training
- Assist customers with product inventory
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned
