Position Summary:

WPS industries is looking for skilled Fitters/Fabricators for our West Monroe, LA manufacturing facility. You will utilize your skills to fabricate, position, align, and fit parts of plate and sheet metal products. Hiring bonus incentive and relocation assistance is available for the ideal candidate.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Fabricate, position, align and fit metal product parts to drawing requirements
• Interpret fabrication drawings to utilize proper materials, techniques, and task sequences
• Tack-weld fitted parts
• Move parts into position, manually or with hoists or cranes
• Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as brake press, rolls, shears

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
• Ability to pass a tape measure test
• Overhead crane and rigging experience
• Good analytical and math skills
• Previous experience in a steel fabrication environment
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Commitment to high safety and quality standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet customer expectations
• Ability to work overtime and provide regular, punctual attendance
