Job Title: Field Training Specialist
Reports To: Operations Development & Training Manager
Direct Reports: None
Department: Operations
Location: San Antonio, TX - Training Center
Position Status: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, with rotating Sunday availability
Base Salary: $40,000 + lunches paid by company
Travel: Up to 25% of the time, in- or out-of-state
Summary Role:
Westport Properties, Inc. is looking to expand our Operational department with a new role: Field Training Specialist. A good candidate for the Field Training Specialist role is one with a strong background in an education or has held a training role, and proficiency in a Learning Management Systems (LMS), Microsoft PowerPoint and Adult Learning best practices. A person qualified for this position will have a proven track record in a classroom role, handling day-to-day in-person training functions and responsibilities while maintaining good communication and reporting relationships with multiple departments, field management, and company personnel at all levels.
Key Essential Functions & Areas of Responsibilities

  • Regular attendance in accordance with Company’s Attendance Policy is required for this position
  • Work daily under the leadership of the Learning & Development Manager at the Training Center
  • Transport trainees to and from training and the airport using a company van
  • Present training materials in a variety of settings and formats
  • Independently lead in-person training sessions including up to 10 trainees for up to 4 hours at a time continuously
  • Independently lead remote training sessions including up to 10 trainees for up to 4 hours at a time continuously
  • Contribute to ongoing course development and training program updates
  • Other Duties as Assigned
  • Periodic special projects and duties may be assigned based on Company need and requirements
  • Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, with frequent interruptions or distractions and within tight deadlines

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Intermediate computer skills required
  • General office and telephone skills required
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint required
  • Adult education experience preferred

Education

  • Undergraduate degree in Education or similar field preferred
