Detailed Job Description
The Saunders College of Business invites applications for a tenure-track accounting faculty member at the assistant level.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution or equivalent or must have achieved ABD status in such a program. Responsibilities include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, publishing high-quality scholarly accounting research, and contributing to college and university service. Professional accounting or business experience, professional certification in accounting, and a willingness to interact with the business community are desirable. The ability to teach PhD-level seminars or methodology courses is desirable. The ability to teach auditing courses is desirable.

The teaching schedule is four courses for pre-tenure faculty and is either four or five following tenure depending on research productivity.

THE COLLEGE/ DEPARTMENT:
The Saunders College of Business is served by over 60 full-time faculty members who value collegiality and teamwork. The College is accredited by AACSB International and offers bachelors degrees in business administration with eight different majors. Graduate programs include a traditional MBA, two Executive MBA programs, an MS in Accounting and Analytics, Finance, Business Analytics, Global Supply Chain Management, Hospitality Business Management, and Technology Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship. We have recently launched a Ph.D. program. The Saunders College is highly ranked by US News and World Report, Princeton Review, and Business Week. The College offers extensive software support and databases including Compustat, CRSP, Eventus, and Audit Analytics, and provides excellent support for research and conference participation. The Albert J. Simone Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship enhances entrepreneurship activities, including the RIT Venture Creations Incubator. The program for innovation and entrepreneurship was ranked as one of the most innovative programs in the world by Business Week.

Required Minimum Qualifications
Qualified candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution or equivalent. Candidates who are ABD with expected completion by December 2024 may be considered. Candidates meeting this requirement will be evaluated using a variety of criteria related to the job including the following:

• Skills, background, experience and interest relevant to teaching in the undergraduate and graduate accounting programs including the Ph.D. program.
• Strong publication potential as evidenced by a promising dissertation, a promising program of research, articles under review, and/or publications in reputable journals.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the colleges continuing commitment to cultural diversity, pluralism, and individual differences.
