Daily Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation of biomass for extraction process. Grinding biomass for extraction and packing bags with biomass.
Perform duties in a safe manner and environment while adhering to all regulations, and company policies.
Proper weighing, data recording, and batch tracking throughout the extraction process.
Packaging various types and weights of cannabis products.
Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, cleaning and organizing the workspace on a frequent basis.
Clean, organize, and store extraction and related equipment.
Proper tracking and disposal of cannabis waste in accordance with State regulations.
Complete data entry into cannabis tracking systems.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and qualifications:
Scientific background as well as previous laboratory experience strongly preferred but not required.
Experience and background in the cannabis industry is a plus but not required.
Passion for cannabis is required.
Ability to follow and adhere to strict safety and sanitation protocols.
Ability to work independently, and collaboratively within a team environment.
Throughout extended periods must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking through the workday.
Ability to maintain a sanitary work environment.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable working with medical cannabis and similar products.
Ability to follow all safety protocols including wearing all proper PPE.
Experience in a highly regulated industry is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with superiors and team members clearly and concisely.
Environmental Factors:
Exposure to plant particulates through skin contact and inhalation including odor, that may cause allergic reactions to some.
Exposure to compounds that may be flammable, corrosive, and hazardous.
General background noise that may be loud.
Working for extended periods in hot or cold environments.
Requirements:
Must be 21+
Ability to pass comprehensive Background Check including FBI Background check and a VT state background check.
Reliable transportation to the facility with a valid driver’s license
Ability to adapt to change
Ability to cross train with other departments as needed
Ability to perform repetitive tasks
Ability to repeatedly perform physically demanding tasks.
Ability to lift to 50lbs alone and 100lbs with assistance
Basic math skills
Must be and remain compliant with any and all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
