Our growing law firm is looking for an immediate hire of an experienced and seasoned attorney who is ready to represent our existing client base. The ideal candidate will work closely with the firm’s clients, administrative staff, and senior partners. Compensation:$125,000
Responsibilities:- Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action
- Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions
- Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings
- Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis
- Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks
- Handle a full caseload and appear in federal courts in NY and NJ
- Visit clients at jails in NY and NJ
- Work with Partner in developing legal strategies to best represent our clients
- Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required
- Able to work independently while handling multiple files
- Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required
- Jobseekers should be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred Association
- Must be admitted and in good standing with NY and NJ bars
- Graduate from law school with JD degree and Must have between 3-5 years of trial court experience in criminal law
- Must have excellent research and writing skills
