Exit Operator- Nights 10pm-6am

Job Description

Join our team as an Operator/Forklift Operator. The Forklift/Heavy Machinery role is an hourly position. The person in this role will perform multiple tasks throughout the day to ensure safe and quality production. They are responsible for transporting material around the plant with a forklift and/or heavy machinery and prioritizing requests in order for production to run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

· Verify all measuring tools at the beginning of shift and prepares material based on production schedules and work orders.

· Set-up overarm to accept the material being processed.

· Assist maintenance in the changing of the mandrel.

· Perform underside inspection for defects during recoiling.

· Follows all standard operating procedures.

· Accurately measures and weighs material; performs basic calculations and inputs all information on coils into the computer.

· Report all non-conforming material to the line operator and Group Lead on duty.

· Observe all safety rules and regulations, company policies and procedures, and work instructions.

· Performs 6S/housekeeping to Company standard.

· Assure proper markings are on all coils.

· Assist the crane operator, as needed. May be cross trained to fill in other line positions.

· Perform other duties as necessary, assigned or directed.

Desired Experience

Must be able to handle physical, repetitive work in extreme temperatures, climb stairs and stand on your feet for up to 10 hrs. a day.
Must be capable of loading banding on machine; ability to lift up to 50lbs.and reach overhead.
Must have good hand-eye coordination and be able to handle small parts.
Mechanical aptitude a plus, but not required.
Proficient in basic math and use of measurement tools (i.e., read ruler)
Ability to read, follow and comprehend verbal and written detailed instructions in English
Must be able to distinguish between part numbers and sizes.
Must be able to count and label parts accurately. Must understand and follow the quality policy and procedures – detect defects.
Must follow all safety policies and procedures.

Pay:

· Starting at $20.00 per hour

· $1.50 shift differential

· Comprehensive benefits Day 1

· Paid Holiday’s Day 1

· Retention bonus - $1500 (500 on first paycheck and 1000 at 3 months)

· 401K with company match up to 4%
