The Role
The Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer will partner with the CEO and CFO, to work closely with the Board of Directors to help set vision and leadership for all Human Resources components toward the elevation of a dynamic, inclusive, and equitable organizational culture. Ensuring the board is best positioned to have discussions and make decisions to achieve the companies’ goals.
The CHRO is accountable to drive a best-in-class talent function aligning people practices to business strategies to drive long-term growth. This individual will provide end-to-end leadership for all aspects of the human resources function including culture development, diversity and inclusion, total rewards, talent management, training and development, talent acquisition, shared services, employee engagement, organization development, labor relations and functional talent priorities. This position will report to the CEO.
The Main Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Human Resources strategy aligned with the company’s vision, imperatives, and culture to accelerate business performance.
- Provide thought leadership and consultation to CEO and executive leadership team on driving a high-impact and performance-based culture.
- Create and maintain a culture that reinforces the company’s core values, encourages employees to do the right thing, and help drive the company’s long-term strategy.
- Champion the company’s Environmental, Social and Governances programs through partnership with other executives or, at the direction of the CEO, as the leader of the company’s ESG efforts.
- Deliver competitive total rewards programs focused on attraction, engagement, development, and retention of talent.
- Build on the organization’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion – and the productive values of DEI, both internally and in the marketplace.
- Leverage data and analytics to drive business results through predictive analytics and driving leadership accountability.
- Drive and align processes and operational efficiencies across each HR function and deliver enterprise wide as a seamless service center to the business.
- Overall accountability for driving a positive and simplified employee experience.
- Drive a unique employee value proposition and employer brand strategy to attract and retain the best talent.
- Foster a culture which enables, recognizes and rewards leaders to drive growth in new and transformative ways.
What We Look For in a Candidate
- 10+ years of leadership experience, managing and/or directing in dynamic organizations. Ideal candidates will have CHRO experience at a publicly traded company.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Possess exceptional communication skills and be attuned to cognitive biases that can distort organizational decision-making.
- Have a demonstrated record of leading, implementing, and communicating change management initiatives, with a keen ability to empower people, influence colleagues, and work across all organizations.
- Aptitude for leading a high-performing team with an empowering and inspirational leadership style; history of attracting and building high performing teams.
- Experience with a distributed workforce and exposure to high-impact HR functions of similar size and stage of transformation.
- Experience partnering across the C-suite, acting as a trusted confidante and advisor. Has coached and supported executive leaders to transform culture, drive accountability, execution, and innovation.
- Experience building and upgrading HR capabilities to improve effectiveness.
- Excellent interpersonal skills: demonstrated ability to lead, influence, partner, and work with all levels in the organization.
- Proven capability to present complex concepts in a concise and understandable way to a variety of audiences.
