Xanitos is hiring Full - Time Environmental Service Call Center Dispatcher at City of Hope. We have times from 7:30am - 4pm Monday - Friday and 3:00pm - 11:30pm as well as just weekends from 11:00am to 7:30pm!

Job Overview:

  • Demonstrates and promotes Xanitos culture, values, and management philosophy in conjunction with the resident facility.
  • Proactive in the achievement of the departmental goals and objectives.
  • Exhibits excellent telephone etiquette and listening skills.
  • Maintains a safe, healthy, orderly and pleasant work environment for staff.
  • Understands and applies knowledge of housekeeping concepts and infection control practices.
  • Understands and is able to determine, explain and develop dispatcher logic and housekeepers’ activities.
  • Directs the activity of the discharge bed cleaning function, ensuring timely completion of tasks; monitors procedures related to availability and completion task, follows-up on issues related to service and operations.
  • Ensures requests have been completed in an efficient and timely manner according to current departmental standards and priorities.
  • Functions as a liaison between Environmental Services and other departments.
  • Develops and promotes positive effective customer service relations with departmental staff, and all hospital employees; ensures accurate and timely dispatch of discharge bed requests; ensures maximum staff productivity.
  • Resolves problems related to or associated with patient through-put; recommends and participates in the solution of on-going problems or trends.
  • Acts as a positive role model; possesses integrity, focus, commitment, flexibility, diplomacy and a team spirit. Is reliable and trustworthy.

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Experience in the janitorial industry a plus
  • Medical cleaning a plus
  • Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The expected hourly rate for this position is $18.00, depending on circumstances including an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, training, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include Shift differential pay and bonuses (if applicable to the position).
