Our Bilingual Event Specialists support Waterford Upstart training and events. Specialists interact with families face to face celebrating the accomplishments of participants and training new incoming families. Our ideal candidate is outgoing, has strong leadership skills, can manage sophisticated tasks, and has the flexibility to travel frequently. This is a hybrid position. Some work can be come remote and you can expect to work from our Taylorsville, UT and West Jordan, UT offices most of the time.

Responsibilities
- Manage training and graduation events across the country
- Hire, train, mentor, and manage seasonal staff members
- Present training material and coordinate assessments
- Support travel plans and follow trip itineraries
- Own the outcome of each event and the happiness of each participant
- Identify challenges and implement solutions to ensure efficient processes and improve event and participant experience
- Assist with event planning, logistics, and venue booking as needed
- Maintain positive and professional interactions with parents, children, vendors and colleagues
- Engage with, motivate, and empower families to become champions in their childs education
- Continuously champion, promote, and advance diversity, equity, and inclusive excellence at Waterford.org
- Collaborate on and contribute to organizational DEI efforts and goals
Qualifications
- Associates Degree or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years in non-profit work, customer service, instructing, training, events, or related field
- Proficiency in Spanish is REQUIRED
- Communication proficiency, both written and verbal
- Strong public speaking, presentation skills, and ability to host an event and engage large crowds
- Customer focus and professionalism
- Comfortable working with children
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time and able to lift up to 50 lbs. (moving event supplies, loading vehicles, event set-up/take-down, etc.)
Travel
- Ability to travel often
- Valid drivers license and a clean driving record
- Hours and work schedule, including weekend work, may vary depending on the events calendar

Waterford.org team members are located across the United States and primarily work from home. We anticipate this position will pay $18+ per hour based on the education, experience, and skill of the individual we hire. We have a phenomenal benefits package that includes fully paid premiums for health insurance, dental insurance, basic life insurance, and disability insurance. New hires receive a one-time HSA contribution. Retirement contributions are matched up to 5% by the organization. Plus, we offer a generous vacation, sick, and holiday offering. Currently, Waterford requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or file a religious or medical exemption (as applicable by federal, state, and local law).
