Kendal at Ithaca is seeking a detail oriented and dependable individual as an Environmental Services Worker.

Schedule

• Utility Worker: Full time, 40 hours per week, 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday; an Environmental Services Utility Worker performs duties as a Floor Technician.
• EVS Worker: Full time, 40 hours per week, varied hours and schedule with some holidays and weekends
• EVS Worker: Part time, 28 hours per week, 6:00 PM - 11:00 PM Monday through Friday

Job Description

• Produce high quality floor refinishing and cleaning with square foot completion for each shift by maintaining upholstered furnishing, soft, hard and carpet floors in a clean and orderly condition
• Maintain building flooring with use of heavy equipment and industrial cleaning agents such as pressure washers, buffers, extractors, vacuums, stripping machines and mopping supplies
• Maintain building interior by performing tasks in assigned area operating carpet cleaning and floor scrubbing machines; dusting, vacuuming carpets, cleaning spots from walls and carpets, mopping floors, cleaning windows, bathrooms, tile and fixtures, ceilings, vents, refilling soaps, paper towels, toilet paper and cup dispensers, etc.
• Gathers and disposes of trash, recycling, pressure washes, waste baskets and large refuse containers
• Removal of soiled linens and hazardous waste
• Provide outstanding customer service to our residents and their families

Qualifications

• Previous floor care experience
• Familiarity with all types of cleaning agents and their application
• Experience with heavy equipment such as pressure washers, buffers, extractors, vacuums, stripping machines and mopping supplies
• Positive attitude demonstrating ability to be a team player
