An Environment Services Manager is needed at our new and exciting facility in Cleveland Tennessee.

Tennessee State Veterans’ Home is a long-term care and skilled nursing facility dedicated to caring for Tennessee veterans and their families. The Environmental Services Manager will manage labor hours, productivity and efficiency of the housekeeping and laundry staff.

Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• Implement department policies and procedures to meet residents’ needs.
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates, and supervises all functions and activities of the housekeeping and laundry departments.
• Schedule staff, review and approve timecards – complete all ADP requirements.
• Manage labor hours, productivity and efficiency of staff.
• Complete staff evaluations.
• Responsible for ordering supplies and meeting budgetary expenses and labor costs.
• Complies with state, federal, and all other applicable health care and safety standards.
• Observe and ensure cleaning procedures and waste disposal procedures are followed in accordance with facility policy.
• Observe and ensure infection control procedures related to the laundry and housekeeping departments are followed.
• Proactive in the achievement of the facility goals and objectives.
• Demonstrates quality leadership in meeting performance plans.
• Weekend management duty which is on a rotation.
• Participate in employee training.

Qualifications:

• Experience in a supervisory role preferably in housekeeping, healthcare or other related field.
• Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in environmental/housekeeping, floor tech/maintenance.
• Knowledge and experience in scheduling, budgeting, and human resources.

Educational Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required. Higher Education preferred.
