POSITION TITLE: Enrollment/Outreach Specialist

POSITION REPORTS TO: Clinical Director

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision and guidance of the Clinical Director Enrollment Specialist Coordinates and performs duties of marketing and enrollment communicating the role of Vocational Instruction Project Community Service to the community. Assist in developing, implementing, and supporting community-based projects, and programs.

POSITION FUNCTIONS:

1. Provide Insurance Enrollment to the Community to increase awareness services provided by VIP Community Service.

§ Representation and communication of its services.

§ Increase visibility of VIP through various media outlets.

§ Participates in community relations’ activities as directed by management.

§ Identifies and builds collaborations with keys partners, including Public Health Organizations, Public Housing Developments, and Community Organizations.

§ Determine patient insurance eligibility using E-paces.

§ Verifying such eligibility with patient insurance company via phone, /website

§ Collection health record and managing medical care forms, ensuring that they are correct and complete.

§ Educate members and their dependents on their benefits.

§ Provide education and enrollment support during open enrollment periods, and re-certification.

§ Enrolling patient through the Market Place.

§ Maintain current members and update data reports.

§ Hosting enrollment activities in-house and through outreach.

§ Assist patient with PCP change, and or insurance changes.

§ Produce and distribute marketing materials i.e. brochures, flyers, and posters.

§ Represent VIP at Community Organizations, and events.

§ Schedule community events/ marketing activities to increase the number of patients receiving services at VIP.

§ Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating community events such as Community Health Fairs.

§ Maintain a list of Outreach Partners and other pertinent contacts.

§ Conduct Community Outreach and Enrollment activities through in-reach, outreach, and public education as well as assist with enrollment.

§ Work with VIP program staff to conduct education activities with a focus on helping clients to understand the affordable insurance options available and enrollment process.

§ All other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.

2. Participate in Job Training and Education Programs, Meetings and Committees.

  • Attend mandatory in-service annually.
  • Participate in various committees and meetings as requested.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate Degree or High School Diploma.
  • 2 years’ experience in Marketing and Outreach
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to speak, read and write Spanish preferred.
