The essential job responsibilities of the Engineer 4 are to serve as the Division's technical subject matter expert on analyzing proposed changes to electric, gas, water, or facilities designs that could impact the resulting arc fault incident energy of any system; utilize modeling software to calculate arc fault values due to any equipment or configuration changes in electric, gas, water or facilities infrastructure; verify and authenticate these new values with a P.E. stamp of ownership; review proposed electric, gas, water, or facility designs/operations that impact potential changes to arc fault incident energy and gather all necessary data to utilize arc flash modeling software; meet with internal SME's as needed for clarity on design implications; act as Division's arc flash compliance liaison and give arc flash presentations or reports with all internal and external authorities.

Qualification Requirements:
To perform the Engineer 4 role, you must: -Have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Have a Tennessee Professional Engineer's license
- Have 6 years of experience related to either electric distribution, transmission, substation design or arc flash analysis studies
- Successfully complete NIMS Training within one year of entering job
- Have a valid driver's license from state of residence
- Reside and maintain residence in Shelby County, TN within 6 months from hire date
Physical Working Conditions:
Works inside majority of time and occasionally outside. Subject to hazards/field conditions while making inspections.
