JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide a safe, secure, and educationally stimulating environment in Physical Education for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

• Prepare and deliver developmentally and grade appropriate lessons on a daily basis
• Must be able to instruct, relate to, and supervise students in kindergarten through fifth grade
• Must have excellent organization and communication skills
• Ability to be flexible and to work cooperatively and collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• $14.29/hour
• Begin 2023-24 school year

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be willing and able to meet the criteria as an instructional assistant, which is:
1. To have completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education [defined as completion of 48 semester hours (or equivalent trimester hours) of college coursework or an applicable number of semester hours as defined by the institution of higher education attended, whichever is less; or

2. To have obtained an associate's (or higher) degree; or
3. To have met a rigorous standard of quality and can demonstrate, through a formal state or local academic assessment (the ParaPro Assessment) knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing, reading, writing, and mathematics; or knowledge of, and the ability to assist in instructing, reading readiness, writing readiness, and mathematics.

Must be able to pass an expanded criminal history check and Department of Child Services check
