Job Title: Electrical Engineer, Actuation
The Electrical Engineer position encompasses the (hands-on) design, analysis, and testing of electro-mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic systems used for valve actuation and control. The scope of activities include maintenance and/or improvement of existing devices or systems as well as the development of new devices or systems. The position requires customer interface, occasional travel to customer sites (naval shipyards, trade shows and vendors), as well as production, manufacturing and purchasing support. The Electrical Engineer is also responsible to assist technicians performing electrical work when questions or issues arise.

Your Challenge:
- Design: Analog and some digital circuit design, control system design, electronic packaging design, printed circuit board and other electrical interconnects design, and micro-controller/PC software development (two or more of the following: Assembler, BASIC, C, C++, Visual Basic). Includes schematic, parts list, and tech manual generation. Often includes bench work (prototyping) etc.
- Analysis: Analog and digital circuit analysis for R&D and/or troubleshooting. Servo system analysis including time constants, frequency response, and stability analysis. Micro-controller software systems analysis.
- Test: Test regimen development, test method and procedure development, data recording and analysis, and report writing involving valve operator systems and controls.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.
Your Expertise:
- Four (4) year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering
- Knowledge of products and electrical industry requirements.
- Experience with process control devices, industrial data networks, electronic or electro-mechanical sensors, valves, or fluid mechanics preferred.
- Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Altium and PSpice
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a group.
